Champaign Insulation was founded in 2022 by a team of insulation specialists who had been working in the Champaign-Urbana area for years and kept running into the same problem: homeowners getting quoted high prices for work that wasn't clearly explained, or having jobs finished that didn't hold up through the first Illinois winter.

Champaign is a city with a lot of older housing. Many of the homes on the north side were built before modern energy codes existed, and a lot of them still have the original insulation — or none at all in crawl spaces and rim joists. Add in the flat prairie winds and the temperature swings that come with central Illinois winters and summers, and inadequate insulation isn't just uncomfortable; it's expensive.

We started the company to do things the straightforward way. Show up on time, explain what we find, give a written estimate, and do the work right.
